We just completed the installation of Luxer One secure, an automated package delivery system at Cornish Brewery Apartments. Luxer One is a leader in the fast-growing secure package delivery system market. Luxer One’s software and systems are well-known to all of the major package delivery services, such as Amazon, Fedex, and UPS. Here’s how it works: (1) a package delivery company completes delivery by accessing a secure room (or Luxer One’s own storage lockers) and logs into the system that a drop off has occurred, (2) the system sends an e-mail to the recipient with a one-time PIN to enable access to the secure room, and (3) the recipient of the package collects their package at a time of their own choosing. Delivered packages are never left in an insecure common area where they can be subject to theft.
We have repurposed a historic storage room in the brewery, just off the building’s main entrance, as our secure package room. It’s fun to see historic preservation and technology side-by-side: arched brick ceilings that used to support brewery operations alongside Luxer One’s flat screen access control panel. We have also installed additional video security in the package room and the lobby area through which it’s accessed.
We’re pleased to be able to provide this new building amenity to our residents free of charge. It’s all part of the University Property Safe. Clean. Quality. Connected.™ experience.
